Stuart Theatre
About: Stuart Theatre is a large proscenium arch theatre space located in Faunce House and was originally built in 1931 as the Faunce House Theatre. It was restored and reopened in 1995 as the Stuart Theatre. Stuart Theatre seats 240 people.

Parking: Free Parking is available on Waterman street after 6PM.
Accessibility:
- Stuart Theatre has an accessible entrance
to the performance space off of the Main Green Entrance along the external wall of the building. The performance/theatre space is accessible via wheelchair, the box office and lobby area is not accessible via wheelchair.
- Stuart Theatre has 2 wheelchair accessible
seating locations.
- Stuart Theatre is General Admissions. Accommodations for patrons with low vision or blindness
can be made by contacting Brianne Shaw, Brianne_shaw@brown.edu, 401-863-2730.
- Assistive Listening Devices
are available upon request. Please inquire with a House Manager upon arrival.
- A Wheelchair Accessible
restroom is available on the same level as the theatre.

are welcome in the studio. At this time we are unable to accommodate Emotional Support Animals.

The main Brown Theatre Box Office is located in the covered breezeway between Lyman and Solomon Halls. The breezeway has two entrances: one doorway opens onto Simmons Quad across from the Marcus Aurelius statue. The second and accessible entrance opens onto the Dill Center for the Performing Arts courtyard and is visible from Waterman Street between Stuart Theatre and the Building for Environmental Research and Teaching. Tuesday - Friday, 12pm - 4pm, and beginning one hour before performances. At other times, please email boxoffice@brown.edu or leave a message at 401-863-2838 and staff will reply to your message as soon as they are able.
- The Box Office for performances in Stuart Theatre is located in the lobby of Stuart Theatre and will open 1 hour prior to the performance time.
Will Call: Tickets must be paid for when ordered, we do not reserve tickets without payment. Tickets will be available at Will Call from one hour before the performance.

Directions:
From the East: Follow I-195 West, exit at South Main Street (exit 2) and proceed North to the traffic light at College Street (large courthouse at corner). Turn right on College Street. Go to the top of the hill where College Street terminates at Prospect Street, in front of Brown University’s Van Wickle Gates. Turn left on Prospect Street, travel one block and then turn right onto Waterman Street. Begin looking for a place to park. After one block, Brown Street will intersect Waterman on your left and 50 yards further the Catherine Bryan Dill Center for the Performing Arts will be on your right.
From the West, North and South: Follow I-95 to I-195 East, exit at Downtown Providence (exit 1), and follow the exit ramp along the river. At the second light (College Street), turn right. Go to the top of the hill where College Street terminates at Prospect Street, in front of Brown University’s Van Wickle Gates. Turn left on Prospect Street, travel one block and then turn right onto Waterman Street. Begin looking for a place to park.
